Tyler Powell
6th Grade
My name is Tyler Powell and I come from a town in Idaho called Jerome. I am very excited to continue my educational career at Bear River Charter School. I am married, and will be celebrating my 3rd year of marriage in July. In June, we are happy to be welcoming a boy into our family. My wife and I are very active and love to play any sports, and be outside as much as possible. I have been teaching for 5 years and love to work with students at the middle school level because they are so welcoming to new teachers. After finishing my college baseball career, I got my teaching degree at Lewis Clark State College in Elementary Education. After graduation, I got a job in my home town of Jerome Idaho and taught math for 2 years along with working for the high school wrestling program. Coaching has always been a big part of my life and have been coaching wrestling for the last 5 years at the high school and junior high level. If you ever walk into my classroom, you will quickly notice I am a very large baseball fan and bleed Dodger blue. If you are ever wanting to talk baseball I am always willing to discuss any issues, and will continue to be a student of the game.
